Good Evening Guys, I apologise for the english but as I'm sure you're aware, you guys are the place to be for any vestel rebrand fixing and I think google translate will do nothing for either of us! haha
After a few hours of closing in on the answer to my issue I have landed here and believe I have all the information required for you guys to be able to help, here's hoping at least
I have a JVC LT-55c870 ( b) model TV with no display or backlight but a flashing standby LED that increases in frequency when a button is pressed on the remote.
I really hope this is just a software fault that can be flashed away with a USB drive although a board swap wouldn't be out of the question if it's dead.
So this particular model has a 17SMB130E Mainboard with ves550qndl-2d-n12 panel (LG T-Con)
I actually have two questions;
1: As I have no display I believe I'll need the full software so I can do the HOLD OK>PLUG IN method, but I am unable to downbload these from the software section. And even if I could, from what I read here, I know only enough about the compatibility to make things worse by trying wrong software. Is anyone able to provide this mb/panel combination of software for the LT-55c870 model?
I don't actually care if it is JVC, hitachi, vestel, or any other brand of software and do not require full smart TV or remote control capabilities but retaining LAN/WLAN functionality would be nice for (mega nerdy home assistant server for status and remote control/wake...but this is a tv repair forum haha )
2: With this in mind, if I MUST buy a new mainboard, are there any potential "upgrades" to be had here? Such as a more capable mainboard that would work with the ves550qndl-2d-n12 panel and associated LG T-Con. I see good things said about the mb180 for example (while trawling for troubleshooting this). Is there a specific need for the panel to be absolutely matched to the mainboard or is this a purely model number locked thing that can be technically overcome. I see an LG 4K HDR panel with a T-Con so my mind imagines there are many many mainboards attached to that specific panel from many brands. Maybe Vestel does indeed get a special panel but then how much difference does qndl-n12 etc. make to the actual compatibility?

I have the software for the stick in the archive, but it says that it is for 17MB130. You can try. Anyway, the TV is not functional. Tarayıcı güncellenmez tv de ayarlarda hbb açıksa kapatın tv saati yanlış ise doğrusunu ayarlayın.

Also, would I place the files directly onto the FAT32drive or would all 4 need to be in a "PQ" folder?(I read something last night and I'm not sure which of the many tabs it is located in heh)
When I hold OK on the TV remote and plug in tv then light seems to flash quickly immediately. If I plug in TV then press OK, the rapid flashing only starts when I press OK......Is the IR just picking up the OK button immediately or should I notice a distinct 'slow>fast' change with it held?

2. Unplug the TV and insert the USB stick
3. PRESS AND HOLD the OK key on the remote control
4. Plug the TV into the socket. The stby LED on the TV blinks slow at first and after a few seconds (it can take even longer) it blinks faster. Then release the OK key.
5. Wait for it to finish. It can take more than 5 minutes.

I have followed those exact instructions and waited plenty of time although I'm not sure if the LED behavior is correct .
When OK is not held then there is a slow flash, and if I even press OK it begins to flash quickly
If I hold OK while plugging in, the led flashes quickly immediately but nothing happens after any amount of time
Is this a known error code /behavior or am I missing something in the process above?
Is there a way to know if this board is bricked?

1. Vestel boards do not have an error code
2. If the update does not start, it may be a software or hardware problem.
3. If it is software, try to rewrite the flash memory (MX25L1606E -with a programmer) or the nand memory (with a programmer)
4. If the problem is hardware because you do not have the necessary knowledge, it can only be solved by replacing the board.
5. Use stick with led. If the LED on the stick does not show activity, it means that it cannot be accessed by the motherboard and it will not be able to rewrite the software.

What does the flashing indicate if there is no display in that case? I thought this may be an indicator. It does flash faster if button on remote is pressed so it knows 'something'
Looks like the breadboard and DuPont's are coming out! Can this be done via test pads or is removal necessary?
I can at least destroy it gracefully with your guys wisdom haha
Ok, tried with a couple sticks and one with led and no activity unfortunately. Would a power board fault prevent this and panel starting and just flashes standby led to suggest power fault? I only ask as the display does not start at all.
Thinking of a new board so I now have a new question
;If I get any 17mb130e board from any(but similar) size, as long as I get a picture (even if upside down or cropped etc), can I then theoretically access the service menu and assign the correct panel to the board and/or then update via usb?
