Hello,
Horizon Romania doens't let me install your new firmware guys :(. So i am still with the old problmes like netflix vertical bars, Film mode inactive, brightness issues on my Horizon TV (0.38.8.2)
. Still, i compared it to Samsung 50-55RU71XX models and LG 50-55UM7100 models and Horizon (Vestel) image is fantastic and much much better than any of those (left samsung 50ru7172 Va panel, right Vestel (horizon) panda panel.). Fantastic performance for such a low price - 300 euro - 58HL7590U model!
Can you help me how to save / backup bin firmware file from the tv in order to revert it in case of warranty issues?

I was affraid to install any of the Picasso or Jvc or Vestel firmware because of the warranty. First i want to backup the original Horizon firmware in order to REVERT the original firmware in case of warranty problems.

It is not possible to back up your current software.The software is Vestel's original update software. Due to the software there is no warranty problem.
Picasso is the update software that you need to install. I installed it on my JVC TV to test all the updates on the list and there was no problem.

And will I loose the horizon brand and menu? Will they observ and cancel my warranty? Did you JVC change the brand?
I want to install a newer firmware because the following:
- i don't want CME to be active (soap opera). For this i need to use sport and game mode, movie and dynamic and natural are useless (lot of framerate cutting)
- when i adjust brightness/contrast it is not modifying lineary , it is just skipping back
- netflix sometimes shows vertical bars not the movie
- netflix hdr is very dim (formula 1 , the irishman, birdbox)
some other minor issues.
